this is well on the way now ,,as we are not allowed fences we thought that we would do an edible fence on wires ,,still got some fruit plants to go in ,but we will have to wait till the raspberry canes have stopped fruiting
but so far we have

i also sowed some peas
and in raynes bed she sowed some peas and french beans

opening day at the community growing area
yesterday was the official opening of the community growing area ,,this is what our plots are officially called ,,the project was funded mostly by marks and Spencer's ,,it was the grand opening yesterday ,,i didn't take any pictures of the opening ,,but what i did do was take a picture of the whole area ,,i will have to do these every so often so we can see how its all coming along ,,the day was a great success and all the plots there filled ,,unfortunately they will have to be shared ,,but its only a little area and if i was in that situation i would rather have half a plot that nothing

the soft fruit fence
to day we started the soft fruit fence ,,we have got some raspberry canes to plant that we got for the bargain price of £6 just hope it was worth it ,we also have some at home in pots that we need to plant but will wait till they have finished fruiting before we plant them ,so today we started putting in the posts and wires to train them on got a few more to put in yet ,but its a start

beds finished
another busy day ,,all 8 beds are finished now and the soft fruit border is done and ready to plant in the autumn ,,just got the asparagus bed and the carrot bed and the odd triangle bed to finish and the rest of the edging

yay we got the plot
yay ,,,plot 11 is ours ,,had a walk up today and its looking good all the ground has been leveled out so now all we got to get is some decent soil to grow in ,,need to get some sowing done so when the beds are built we will have some plants to go in ,,we will load the the bed with the top soil from the paths so we have even more ,,,cant wait to get started

still nothing to do
well we where hoping by now we would have a plot to get started on ,,but we wont find out till tuesday which plot is officially ours ,,at the moment we are just planning on paper ,,got some scaffold boards to edge the beds with so once we get one we will be well away ,,i am going to do some seeding tomorrow so we can get a bit in the ground,,will get some green manure to sow on the empty beds

new beginings
well after 3 years of planning we finally got our allotment,, there is soo much to do as it was derelict land before soil not much cop but we can soon sort that out ,,not sure if we will be able to get anything planted this year ,,but it gives up a good few months to get it all marked out and dug over
